"For the past thirty years, the fight against malaria has been long on rhetoric and short on action. The Roll Back Malaria (RBM) partnership, launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) ten years ago in 1998, continued this trend. However, since 2005, U.S. government made striving efforts in improving malaria control. While significant problems still remain, for the first time since the 1960s, malaria is being fought effectively on a global scale." Roger Bate is a resident fellow at AEI.
