Swanson, David

This article discusses the position of U.S. President Barack Obama regarding acts of torture committed by members of the administration of former U.S. President George W. Bush. "Prosecuting torture is not a choice, but a requirement. Any act complicit in torture, such as drafting a memo purporting to make it legal, or ordering it done from a distance, or indeed committing the torture directly must be prosecuted."
