His willingness to understand perspectives other than his own and his rejection of rigid ideology makes him lean towards relative rather than absolute values. Finally, Obama has a practical side which calls for pragmatism and compromise."
Alexander Moens is a professor of Political Science at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute in the Centre for Canadian-American Relations. Inu Barbee is a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute.
