Getting Immigration Right
Ponnuru, Ramesh
National Review, October 8, 2007, v59, #18, pp17-18
"Immigration poses a serious political problem for Republicans. The problem isn't that it deeply divides them--although it does. It's that neither side in the intra-party debate has a viable political strategy for dealing with immigration. Since 2004, Pres George W. Bush has supported what he calls "comprehensive immigration reform." In this article the author talks about the strategies made by politicians in getting the immigration policy right. Ramesh Ponnuru is senior editor for the National Review Magazine.
